Here's what you need to get started with digital planning with the Seriously Simple Planner™ or iPlanner™ in addition to an Android tablet, iPad or Windows device. Tablets work much better than phones because of the larger screens and usually somewhata faster processors.
1. Purchase and download the planner of your choice.

2. Select the app you want to use with the planner, based on the type of tablet you are using.
Android: Metamoji Notes, OneNote
Windows: Metamoji Notes, OneNote
iPad: GoodNotes, Metamoji Notes, OneNote
3. Set up your app so that it can access your sticker sets. OneDrive, GoogleDrive, Box and Dropbox all work with MetaMoji, GoodNotes. Box, and OneDrive.
4. If you are using MetamojiNotes, any sticker sets you have on PDF will not work. You can pull them up on your device and screenshot them which will put them in the right format.
A smart stylus is a nice option, especially for finishing touches and close cropping on some stickers, but it is not a requirement. You can do a lot of this with your fingers.
A stylus comes in handy if you wish to use your handwriting on the planner page. Smart Styluse are somewhat more precise.
If you have an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, you will have the best experience, but I can attest that my iPad Air and smart stylus were very workable before I splurged and got the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil.
Those are the basics. As you get into digital planning and interact with other people who are bringing in new ideas, as in the Facebook groups, you'll learn of other apps and fun things to do with your planners. We'll take a look at these in future posts.
I can't emphasize enough how helpful the digital planning groups are on Facebook. As digital planning grows in popularity, the groups will grow, but right now they are small enough to be a community of very helpful users, all learning as we go. Every day I learn something, if not several things, that are totally new to me, and I can't wait to see what I can do with the new knowledge.
This is especially true of the Seriously Simple group, headed up by designer Tam Spires. Join us. We can't wait to meet you!
